THINK Hauora is the Primary Health Organisation (PHO) for the MidCentral District. This means they ensure that everyone across their communities has access to essential primary health care services through a General Practice Team, either directly or through their network of contracted providers. They aim to improve the health outcomes of their communities by ensuring that general practice services are connected with other health services to ensure a seamless continuum of care.
 
Collaborating closely with senior leadership, governance, managers and external stakeholders, the appointee will lead the development and reporting of the annual work plan, and of key strategic initiatives. They will also have oversight of the development and implementation of long-term organisational strategies and goals. 
 
The successful candidate’s experience of programme and project management will enable them to oversee and support projects and programmes while promoting best practice approaches. Strategic and analytical strengths will be underpinned by excellent interpersonal skills to be able to build trust quickly, identify and mitigate risk, adapt to changing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced working environment.
