What you'll be doing | Te whakamahere
Our New Zealand Investment Team is looking for an experienced Marketing and Activation Specialist to lead our marketing activity for the investment team. You will be the go-to person in the Investment Team for marketing, and implement the events, content and communications strategy to successfully position us to attract investment into New Zealand.
This role involves:
- Leading the creation and execution of integrated marketing campaigns that drive customer engagement, awareness, and pipeline growth.
- Execution of brand activation campaigns including sponsorships and events.
- Having ultimate ownership of our profile across social media, digital products and our website.
- Partnering with internal and external stakeholders such as the Investment Leadership team and the Brand and Content Team, to ensure that brand activation and marketing initiatives are integrated across all touchpoints and delivered in line with the business strategy.
This role makes a critical contribution in powering up the NZTE Investment team, to deliver significant outcomes for New Zealand.
NB: This role is known internally as Investment Activation Manager.
What you'll need to be successful | Ō Pūkenga
You will be a true marketing generalist who will thrive in an environment where you can have the autonomy to lead the marketing activity, yet also roll-up your sleeves and deliver on the day-to-day “doing” required. This means you will be highly motivated, possess fantastic communication skills, be quick in establishing effective relationships with senior stakeholders as well as being sought out by colleagues far and wide as being a ‘go-to' team member with the ability to influence without authority.
Along with this you will:
- Have strong knowledge of marketing principles and tactics including market research, consumer behaviour, segmentation, targeting, advertising and promotional strategies.
- Be adaptable to changes in the market, industry, or government policy and be able to pivot the brand strategy accordingly.
- Have the ability to facilitate material from subject matter experts and convert these into quality stories. You will also be capable analysing data, stats and trends to pull out key messages and stories and understand content engagement and user behaviour both internally and externally.
- Have an edge in developing and implementing systems and processes – ability to map steps, understand implications for the business and keeping our clients front of mind.
