Te Papa is seeking an exceptional Marketing Manager to lead our marketing strategy and connect people with all the museum has to offer. This is a unique opportunity to guide one of Aotearoa New Zealand's most beloved brands.
From blockbuster exhibitions to nationally-significant kaupapa, from dinosaurs to surrealist art, this is a role for the head and the heart.
As part of the Marketing and Communications team, you will:
- Develop and lead a Te Papa-wide marketing strategy, and research-led campaigns
- Own, champion and evolve the Te Papa brand
- Lead compelling marketing campaigns across exhibitions, programmes, and events
- Showcase Te Papa as a cultural destination and storytelling platform
- Collaborate with multiple internal teams and manage external agencies
You'll bring:
- Strategic vision and understanding of marketing
- A commitment to our vision as a Tiriti-based museum
- Great connecting and influencing skills, and the ability to roll up your sleeves and deliver as part of a small team
- 7+ years of marketing experience in a comparable environment
Experience in international marketing will be an advantage, with Te Papa having recently introduced an entry charge for international visitors
This is a full-time role, but flexibility could be considered for the right applicant. The role does not have direct reports, but provides functional leadership to a Marketing Advisor and Graphic Designer.
The salary range for this position is $91,773 to $126,188. Offers will be made within the range to reflect the skills and experience offered by the candidate and those required of the role, and internal relativities with other employees.
