As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer you will provide critical management support in the design and engineering of thermal energy pressure vessels, structures, and ancillary equipment. Your expertise will drive the success of our projects and contribute to the development of cutting-edge solutions.

With a strong forward workload in decarbonisation and the design and build of industrial thermal plant and equipment they now require an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join their established team.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and engineering of thermal energy pressure vessels and ancillary equipment
- Provide management support across multiple projects, co-ordinating between internal engineering teams, suppliers, and clients
- Utilize your technical expertise and in-depth knowledge of mechanical engineering to solve complex design challenges
- Ensure all designs meet relevant regulatory and safety standards
- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines, projects managers and clients to deliver successful project outcomes
Your Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering
- 10 years + thermal plant design experience including pressure vessels
- Prior structural and piping design experience desired
- Advanced computer skills with Solidworks, Auto CAD and Microsoft Office suite
- Strong leadership and team building skills
- CPEng, IntPE or MEngNZ desired
- Current unrestricted Work Rights for New Zealand
