About the Role:

My client is an established, leading local brand with a successful track record of industrial manufacturing and refining of raw ingredients for decades in Auckland. With a strong forward workload including a range of capital and maintenance projects you will provide Mechanical Draughting support to a diverse range of Engineers, Project Managers and Production staff. As the main internal Design Draughting resource you must be confident operating at an independent and proactive level with support provided by management and experienced colleagues. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and execute drafting projects with precision and creativity.
  • Assist Project Engineers with Shop drawings, As-Built drawings, and Plant Layout for new machinery installation.
  • Utilize your advanced skills in AutoCAD 2D and 3D to create detailed mechanical designs.
  • Develop and maintain CAD standards to ensure quality and consistency across projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support capital projects and maintenance improvements.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Tertiary NZCE Mechanical, CAD or similar qualification.
  • 10+ years of mechanical design draughting experience.
  • Working proficiency with AutoCAD 2D and 3D to design and draw food processing plant, equipment and machinery.
  • Proven track record with the design and detailing for industrial manufacturing plant expansion or modification.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Unrestricted work rights for New Zealand.
