Waikato Hospital is one of the largest tertiary hospitals in the country, and we are seeking an experienced Medical Imaging Technologist to join our friendly, dedicated team.
As a successful Medical Imaging Technologist, you will play a key role in imaging patients across different settings within the General Radiology department.
Day to day, you will provide comprehensive imaging services in trauma, inpatients and outpatients settings. You will also work in collaboration with other health professionals + multi-disciplinary teams.
This is a permanent, full-time position working 40 hours per week across a variety of shifts, on a 24-hour rotating roster.
Key responsibilities of the role:
- Provide high quality diagnostic imaging in a timely manner
- Deliver safe, respectful, effective and efficient patient care and optimal service delivery
- Participate in a rotating shift roster
- Uphold and meet registration and regulatory CPD requirements
- Work as an effective team player and promote a team culture that fosters collaborative working relationships

Mōu | About you
The following skills and experience are required to be considered for this role:
- Registration with the Medical Imaging Technologist Board of NZ (MRTB)
- Hold a current Annual practising certificate (APC)
- Clinical practise experience in general Radiography
- Actively involved in continuing professional development meeting all MRTB requirements
- Broad knowledge of Emergency, general, modality and Trauma at a tertiary level
- Sound knowledge in IT systems and applications
- Have the ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
