About the Role
As a Medical Officer of Specialist Scale (MOSS) you will provide operational public health services in assigned areas in support of the National Public Health Service (NPHS) – Central region's activities in the areas of notifiable disease management, outbreaks, and environmental health. You will work in partnership with senior colleagues in Central Region's National Public Health Service to share responsibility for the professional quality of public health work.

About you
You understand the importance of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and are skilled in applying its principles effectively in your role. You build and maintain positive relationships at all levels, enhancing the quality and contributions of individuals and teams to achieve the organisations vision and goals. Driven and accountable, you are aware of your impact on others and are committed to continuously improving your practice.
- General registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand
- Current annual practising certificate
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Experience in implementing Te Tiriti o Waitangi in action
- Understanding of the New Zealand health sector
- Desired:
- A relevant graduate and post-graduate qualification
