We are a busy secondary care maternity unit, overseeing 1250 births per annum, with a full range of secondary obstetric services. We provide a supportive medical team and colleagues in a friendly hospital that is big enough to offer clinical variety but small enough to provide great team relationships. This is an opportunity to combine job satisfaction with enjoyable lifestyle options in one of New Zealand’s prime tourist areas.

 

 

You will be responsible for:

 

  • Provision of clinical midwifery services in accordance with the Midwifery Counil scope of practise
  • Provision of primary and secondary maternity services as part of our inter-disciplinary clinical teams
  • Being committed to maintaining clinical skills in accordance with organisational best practice guidelines
  • Being committed to continuous quality improvement activties

 

Mō koe / About you

 

You should have

  • Current New Zealand Registration and Annual Practicing Certificate Midwifery Certificate 
  • Recent clinical experience in midwifery practice
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with all stakeholders
  • Commitment to being a team player

Salary range: $79,261 to $108,008 pro rated to hours worked
