MINISTERIAL COORDINATOR
Fixed Term to 30 June 2025 (Wellington-based role)
Due to a recent internal promotion, we have an exciting opportunity for a Ministerial Co-ordinator to join the team. This role is the backbone of the team, playing a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office and helping us achieve our goals. Our ministerial services team is dedicated to innovation, excellence, and public service.

Due to the nature of the work and the environment, there is a benefit to having experience in the public sector and understanding of government functions.
Your superpower, and a non-negotiable is the ability to proofread, edit and quality check the work of the team to ensure consistently high standards.
Speed and accuracy around systems especially Excel is essential. Being able to navigate technology goes without saying.

Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this role
One of the key functions of the Strategy, Governance and Engagement Group (SGE) is the Ministerial Services team.
Within this team, the Ministerial Co-ordinator proactively manages several key tasks that ensures work flows efficiently. These include:
- Assisting the Ministerial Advisors with the effective, secure and timely flow of responses to OIA and Privacy Act requests, Ministerial Correspondence, Proactive Release and Written Parliamentary questions.
- Managing, triaging and co-ordinating the DPMC Ministerial Information mailbox.
- Collating information and producing regular reports for Ministerial Services
- Providing general administrative support across the SGE Group.

Security Requirements | Ngā Whakaritenga Haumarutanga
To be eligible for this position, you must have been a NZ citizen for at least 10 years. Alternatively, you must hold NZ Permanent Residence or hold a current NZ Residency Class Visa and have been a citizen of UK, USA, Canada or Australia for at least 10 years.
