About the Role
The primary purpose of National Lead IPC is to lead the delivery of a high-quality IPC programme reporting to the National Quality & Patient Safety Manager, working in partnership with the IPC Programme Manager. The IPC National Lead will work toward fulfilling the requirements of the IPC programme and will also further define the programme and the personnel, digital, analytical and surveillance resources required along with the IPC Programme Manager.
About the Team/Service/ Location
The role will work closely with other people and teams within the National Clinical Leadership team, especially with the Infection Services Clinical Network, Chief Clinical Officer, and Chief Nursing Officer. This role will also have a high level of interaction with the Regional and Local Clinical Leaders to support the implementation of work programmes and ensure the timely provision of information to the NNO National Clinical Leadership Team and decision-making other groups to support decision-making.

- A relevant graduate and post-graduate qualification.
- Have in-depth knowledge of IPC and more than five years of experience working in this field.
- Demonstrated experience in the health sector either at a clinical and/or advisor level.
- Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
- Experience in projects/initiatives that give effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Mātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.
