NETP Nurse Educator – fixed term

Monday to Friday, 64hrs/fortnight

Nurse Entry to Practice (NETP) is a comprehensive 12 month program which aims to provide a supportive environment in which graduate nurses can progress and ensure competency is maintained throughout their first year of practice enabling them to provide a high standard of Patient and Whaanau Centred care and promote continuing professional development.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join our People & Professional Development team to support and provide clinical guidance for our Graduates and their Preceptors, across CMDHB.

As the NETP Educator you will role model excellence in clinical practice and assist Graduate Nurses in nursing assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care. You will support the NETP Coordinator and Clinical Coaches in meeting the NETP programme requirements, including preparation and facilitation of education days on the programme.

 Essential:

  • New Zealand Registered Nurse
  • Current Annual Practicing Certificate
  • Minimum Expert level demonstrating leadership
  • Minimum four years’ experience post registration Preceptor course
  • Be able to empower, facilitate and support development in others
  • Be a skilled and credible practitioner
  • Be a confident and competent communicator
  • Be able to create effective working relationships across a variety of arenas
  • Have commitment and passion for the essentials of nursing
  • Always strive to improve standards of practice
  • Clean Full Drivers Licence

Desirable:

  • Post-graduate qualification in progress/completed
  • Experienced Nurse Educator
  • Experience facilitating large groups
