About the role
Our team of dynamic and motivated Dietitians, based at the Christchurch Health Campus, provides support to adult and paediatric patients across a range of clinical specialties including oncology, orthopaedics, otolaryngology, respiratory, neurology, general medical, surgical wards and outpatients.
We are seeking a new graduate superstar who is ready to kick-start their career and who has a strong desire to learn! Working as part of a close-knit team, you will receive regular supervision and opportunities for professional development and you will also be encouraged to develop your skills and professional interests.
This is a full time, fixed term position from approximately May 2025 - May 2026. The days and hours required are Monday - Friday 0800 - 1630.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Providing nutritional assessment and nutritional care plans to inpatients and outpatients within the adult team;
- Providing nutritional education to patients within the service, enthusing and motivating real behaviour change;
- Working within a multi-disciplinary team and liaising with health providers.
About You
Your skills will include:
- A recent graduate who is passionate about learning and developing their career as a Dietitian
- A drive to ensure best health outcomes for people with nutrition related disorders
- The ability to work within a team and contribute to the provision of quality care within the service
- Being self-motivated, organised and enjoy a challenge
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and nurture relationships with patients and other people within the service
- NZ Registration as a Dietitian with a current annual practising certificate is essential
