0.80 FTE (64 hours per fortnight)

About the Role

We will offer the successful candidate the opportunity to:

· Utilise clinical skills in assessing mental health and addiction concerns, formulating recovery plans with whai ora and provide engagement and support from a best practice and recovery centred approach.

· Provide specialist advice and education to whai ora, their whānau and relevant stakeholders caring and/or providing services for people experiencing mental unwellness.

· Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to deliver timely and cohesive service locally and from satellite services across the region.

About the Team/Service/ Location

Our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service have an exciting opportunity for a motivated Occupational Therapist to join our team. The Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service has not had an Occupational Therapist for some time. Our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) is an experienced and motivated team, attending to clients from the age of 4 to 18 years of age. The team relies on a variety of professions and skills, utilizing CBT, dynamic therapies, family interventions, Mindfulness and DBT groups, as well as a range of local primary services working in unison for the best interest of our community.

About you

Successful candidates will be:

· Current APCs and registration with Occupational Therapy Board of New Zealand;

· Excellent clinical knowledge base and adept ability to provide psychoeducation for whai ora, whanau and health care providers.

· Ability to work under pressure, be a good team player, demonstrate leadership skills and positively contribute to service delivery;

· Be prepared to travel across the Taranaki rohe to meet the needs of our people and have a willing, 'can do' attitude.
