NDHB Mental Health and Addiction acute in-patient services provide a full range of alcohol and drug and mental health services including assessment, group, family/whānau and individual interventions, hospital based therapies to people with co-existing mental health, alcohol and other drug misuse addiction problems/disorders.
Tumanako and He Manu Pae (Sub Acute Unit) in Whangarei has a vacancy for an Occupational Therapist to join a multidisciplinary team providing high quality and effective Inpatient Occupational Therapy for Mental Health Services. We welcome all interested applicants including new graduates. You will contribute to the provision of Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention for our Tūroro in the Inpatient Service.
This position will be an effective member of the Tumanako Inpatient and He Manu Pae (Sub acute) Units Multi-Disciplinary Team, as well as the Mental Health Occupational Therapy team. The position is suitable for a dynamic, motivated and self-directed therapist with the ability to work within a MDT model
Preferred applicants will have an interest in working in the mental health and addiction sector and be New Zealand registered.
This is a permanent, part time position working 16 hours per week.
