Service:    Wellington South Community Mental Health Team

Contract:  Permanent, Part Time (0.9FTE, 36 hours per week)

Salary:  As per PSA allied health MECA steps 2-8

Looking for a new opportunity? 

We are looking for an Occupational Therapist with a passion for working with adults with complex mental health needs. You must be able to work autonomously as well as contribute to the multi-disciplinary team. Along with a good sense of humour and flexibility, you will require excellent communication and organisational skills as they are an essential part of the day to day work.

Covering the Southern and Eastern suburbs of wellington affords us a diverse caseload of clients with equally diverse needs. We strive to provide a service that fits the range of needs we encounter and puts the person at the centre of what we do.

Moū - About you

  • Able to work autonomously as well as contribute to the MDT 
  • Creative, innovative thinking and problem solving
  • Application of best practice models of care
  • A willingness to learn and develop your practice
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated and skilled in developing relationships with a variety of other professionals
  • Registered with the relevant board in New Zealand
  • You will have a minimum of 2 years - experience providing comprehensive assessments and risk management plans, formulating and articulating treatment needs and plans, and be able to coordinate and prioritise treatment needs
  • Hold a full NZ drivers licence
