Our dynamic group of Anaesthetic Technicians provide comprehensive care to our rural community spanning five-hundred kilometres from Karamea to Haast. We are looking for motivated, team-focused Anaesthetic Technicians to provide quality and equitable care to our patients and their whānau(family).

Mō te tūnga | About the Role
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Providing mentorship to students;
- The provision of safe, professional, technical and clinical assistance to the Anaesthetist;
- Working as part of the multidisciplinary team alongside the Anaesthetist to provide anaesthesia services in the Perioperative Department, Emergency Department, Critical Care Unit, and Maternity;
- Being part of the trauma and resuscitation response teams.
We operate a 24/7 service, our normal hours of work are 0800-1630 with some variations in-line with clinical needs. After these hours we run an on-call service shared amongst all of our Anaesthetic Technicians.
In this role you will be an integral part of
the Te Nikau Hospital and Health Centre Team involved in anaesthesia,
procedural care and medical emergency responses.

- Must be registered and have current Medical Sciences Council Practicing Certificate.
