Join us as we strive to provide high-quality patient care and outcomes. We are seeking an energetic, results-focused, and experienced Operations Manager for a fixed term opportunity to lead our dynamic Emergency Medicine service at North Shore Hospital.
Role Overview:
As Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in hands-on leadership and management within our fast-paced environment. You will ensure the delivery of exceptional patient care while supporting robust systems to evaluate performance against health targets. This position also involves active participation in divisional management at North Shore Hospital.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Management: In partnership with the CD provide leadership and management across the ED to ensure patients receive better outcomes and experience. Responsibility for the overall performance against service targets in partnership with the CD
- Quality and Risk Management: Demonstrate and promote a commitment to continuous improvement. Responsibility for complaints and sentinel events within required timeframes and mitigation of plans to any identified issues
- Financial Oversight: Ensure the financial performance of directly managed services.
- Performance Management: Monitor and ensure the achievement of performance targets and indicators, driving continuous improvement. Underperformance is reviewed and plans are developed to address underperformance
- Te Tiriti o Waitangi: Supports the pursuit of Māori health gain as well as achieving equitable health outcomes for Māori
