About the role

An exciting opportunity has become available to work as an Oral Health Promoter to join our passionate Community Oral Health Rotorua team.  We are seeking a self-directed energetic person who has a passion for working with tamariki of all ages and wants to make a meaningful and positive impact in the community.  This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is committed, caring and has the ability to build and foster good relationships with stakeholders.

 

About the role

  • Promoting holistic care and wellbeing for tamariki and rangatahi
  • Lead and develop workshops and plan educational sessions across different age groups
  • Work with communities groups to improve oral health wellbeing for tamariki   
  •  Participation at community events to promote oral health education and awareness 
  •  Monitor effectiveness of oral health promotion programs       
  •  Work within a dynamic team   
  •  Permanent full time

 

About you

  • Have a helpful, flexible, positive, and adaptable disposition
  • Thrive in a busy and client-focused team
  • Experience working with diverse groups of all ages and stages
  • Proficiency in Te Reo Māori
  • Ability to apply Te Ao Māori tikanga and culture
  • Full Driver's License
