Specialist Otolaryngologist (ORL), Head and Neck Surgeon
Permanent, Part-Time (0.5 FTE)

Located in a world-class harbour city, Waitemata operates over two sites, North Shore Hospital on the shores of Takapuna’s Lake Pupuke, and Waitakere Hospital within sight of West Auckland’s green belt. You will be working across both Hospital sites managing dedicated elective clinic and theatre sessions.
The Otorhinolaryngology (ORL) service is seeking to appoint a permanent Part Time specialist. The position includes a regional after-hours and weekend on-call requirement as part of the role, which will cover acute ORL presentations at Auckland City Hospital.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced ORL surgeon with training and an interest in all ORL sub-specialities including in the areas of Laryngology, Head & Neck. You will be supported by our senior leadership team led by our Clinical Director for ORL and Operations Manager.
The ability to work well within a multicultural team environment is an essential attribute. The clinic offers a full range of ORL assessments, adult diagnostic and rehabilitation. You will work closely within a multi-disciplinary team comprising of other SMO’s, Health professionals, and ORL Clinical Nurse Specialists.
The purpose and key focus of this role is to provide a high standard of clinical practice in the management and delivery of ORL care to the people of the Waitemata region and their families.
We are interested in hearing from suitably qualified applicants with the qualification of FRSC or equivalent and who are eligible for Specialist registration with the New Zealand Medical Council.
