Job Description

Our client is looking for a fresh, talented Patisserie chef capable of running a breakfast service in a busy and vibrant, iconic restaurant located in Albany, Auckland.

If you're passionate about baking and creating delicious breakfast items, this could be the job for you.

What we offer:

  • On-going full-time work, early morning start with 1.30pm finish
  • 40 hours+ per week
  • $26 - $30 an hour depending on experience

Some duties you may be required to do:

  • Run the breakfast service
  • Oversee daily operations and cleaning of pastry and breakfast kitchen
  • Plan, prepare and bake menu items (pastries, cakes and other sweets)
  • Manage inventory, order supplies and food safety standards
  • Develop and execute new recipes and menu items.
  • Train and supervise incoming staff
  • Collaborate with chefs on the lunch and dinner services to ensure cohesion between menu items


The ideal candidate will have the following skills:

  • New Zealand culinary degree or equivalent New Zealand experience required
  • Experience as a pastry chef, breakfast chef, or similar role
  • Extensive knowledge of baking techniques and pastry ingredients
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
