We are partnering with a prominent organisation contributing to transformative healthcare services across Aotearoa. This payroll rectification project focuses on maintaining compliance with the Holidays Act 2003, impacting over 33,000 employees across Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland.

Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
Join the rectification team as a Payroll Analyst in Penrose, with hybrid work options. You’ll collaborate with experienced payroll professionals to maintain compliance, analyse payroll data, and identify anomalies. Your work will ensure payroll systems adhere to the Holidays Act, collective agreements, and IEAs. This is a 12-month fixed-term role starting February/March.

Mōu | About You
You are a detail-oriented payroll professional with experience in processing large, complex payrolls. You have a strong grasp of New Zealand payroll legislation, including the Holidays Act, and are confident working with data at scale. Experience in payroll system implementations and remediation processes will set you apart.

Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills

  • End-to-end payroll experience for large organisations (1,000+ employees)
  • Knowledge of the NZ Holidays Act (remediation experience advantageous)
  • Familiarity with varied employment agreements (MECA/IEA)
  • Experience in payroll systems (Leader system experience preferred but not essential)
  • Strong analytical skills, including SQL script-writing and data validation
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
