Nau mai, haere mai ki Auckland Metro Holidays Act Programme!
We are looking for experienced payroll specialists who have the aptitude to dig deep and analyse large amounts of data to identify anomalies that need to be fixed. We have 3 fixed term full time roles available starting in Feb/March for 12 months.
The objectives of our project are to remediate current and past employees for Holidays Act non-compliances, make changes to HR and payroll systems, policies and processes, and to ensure the Auckland Metro Districts’ payrolls remain compliant with the Holidays Act 2003. We have completed the remediation for current employees and have rectified our payroll systems. The project is now focussed on remediation for former employees and maintenance of compliance for the rectified payroll systems.
Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
This role is based inPenrose but will also include working remotely for part of the time. You will work alongside a group of seasoned payroll professionals to help monitor payroll compliance. It is complex work and the outputs of this work will make a difference far wider than the team currently employed by the Auckland Metro DHBs because, when you’re looking after the salaries of so many people, making sure it all happens correctly is imperative as it impacts thousands of families in the community.
In this role, you will support the Payroll Stream Lead in providing payroll expertise to the payroll teams. Your work will help ensure that the payroll systems comply with both the Holidays Act and MECA/IEA standards and are able to be delivered operationally. As a Payroll Analyst, you will support the compliance team to maintain compliance in the rectified payroll systems by analysing and validating data outputs. You will also help to identify and document the process changes to enable future compliance.
