  • Fixed Term until 31/12/2025, Full-time 80 hour’s per fortnight (1 FTE)

Te Whatu Ora Te Matau a Māui Hawke’s Bay has a fixed term role to join our team as a Payroll Officer and play a crucial role in the health system at a local level.

 

About the Team/Service/ Location

We have an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate and keen to work in a complex environment, using AMS Leader payroll systems. We use an automated roster to pay system with a focus on getting pays “right first time” for more than 4200 roles and have a reputation of achieving efficiencies in the way we service and pay our people.

About you

Previous experience in a high-volume payroll position with an understanding of relevant employment legislation and both individual and collective agreements is preferred but not essential. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Accurately and efficiently process a high volume of payroll transactions
  • Maintain up to date and accurate records of payroll transactions
  • Collaborate with the team and other departments to address payroll inquiries and resolve payroll related issues
  • Record payroll entries in compliance with policies and procedures

Our ideal candidate for this role will:

  • Be an experienced user of AMS Leader and Actor systems
  • Be highly organised, accurate, and with strong attention to detail
  • Thrive under time pressures
  • Utilise effective communication skills
  • Have the ability to analyse data and problem solve
  • Work well independently yet also be an active contributor within our team
  • Have advanced computer skills
