The Role:

Starting in January 2025, this newly created part-time People and Culture Advisor’s role sits within the leadership team and reports to the CEO.  You will provide operational support, HR advice and expert solutions to stakeholders across the organisation. Committed to improving the health, safety and wellbeing of the team, and people in the community they assist, you will ideally have experience in the disability or health sector.
  
You will work with a passionate and dedicated team of people and be part of an organisation providing services that truly make a difference. You will also have the opportunity to challenge and develop yourself both personally and professionally.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaboratively partner with the senior leadership team
  • Provide technical advice on all HR & ER related issues
  • Proactively approach employee well-being initiatives
  • Develop and implement HR systems and processes
  • Conduct recruitment and onboarding of new team members

Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a senior HR Generalist Advisor
  • Tertiary qualification (desirable)
  • Proven experience providing strategic HR advice to senior leaders
  • Excellent working knowledge of legislation in NZ; Employment Relations Act, Holidays Act etc
  • Organised, relatable, engaging, and empathetic nature
  • Proactive approach to continuous improvement of systems, policies, and practices
  • Previous experience in the health/disability and/or social services field (an advantage)
