Job Description

OneStaff New Plymouth is the leading supplier of temporary and permanent staff to many industrial-based clients in Taranaki. 

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Permit Issuer to join our clients manufacturing team on a long-term temporary assignment, starting March 2025. Based in Hawera, this role is crucial to ensuring safe and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Issue permits to work for various site activities, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
  • Maintain accurate records of all issued permits.
  • Collaborate with contractors and on-site personnel to verify permit requirements.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure work is being performed according to permit specifications.
  • Assist in the review of risk assessments and safety documentation.

Work Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, with some weekend work as needed
  • 7am - 5pm

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) practices.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse team.
  • Hold or have held a  Permit Issuer certificate
