About the Role

We are seeking a proficient part-time Physiotherapist to work as part of our Community Rehabilitation Team. This position is mainly outpatient-based but can also occur in the community or within the Intermediate Care Team clinic or unit.

In this role, you will work closely with the Physiotherapists in the rehabilitation team as well as other Allied Health teams, such as the Intermediate Care teams. This position will have the ability to flex to where the rehab caseload demand is and, as such, offers a lot of variety and learning opportunities. The client group is varied and includes neurological, vestibular, amputee rehab and other conditions.

About the Service 

Te Whatu Ora Taranaki employs approximately 350 allied health professionals across its services, and we’re growing our inpatient physical health rehabilitation team by 60%. You will be joining a friendly team that is diverse in skills and experience, a team that welcomes collaboration and that values the contribution of each team member. Our team provides rehabilitation care across acute and non-acute inpatient wards as part of Allied Health, and we’re happy to support other teams to ensure their success.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a current NZ annual practicing certificate as well as:

  • Experience with Vestibular rehabilitation
  • A passion for rehab and desire to continue learning
  • A problem-solving approach
  • Excellent communication skills to work with other staff and patients
  • Excellent computer skills
  • A current valid work Visa allowing you to live and work in NZ
