Job Description

Are you a licensed plumber and/or gas fitter in New Zealand, or have you commenced an apprenticeship?

We are pleased to announce a Permanent opportunity on behalf of our award-winning client, who is seeking a plumber and/or gas fitter to join their expanding team in a full-time capacity.

Our client is interested in hiring a qualified plumber who also has experience in drain laying/gas fitter. However, if you are currently a few years into your apprenticeship and are seeking a new company to continue your professional development, we encourage you to apply as well. The successful candidate will be responsible for a diverse range of plumbing tasks, including installations, repairs, and maintenance. Our client is looking for an individual with a positive attitude, a strong desire to be part of a team, and an interest in growth within the organization. Compensation for this role will be commensurate with previous experience.

This position is based Hastings and also Central Hawkes Bay.

Role requirements and expectations:

  • Possession of a current New Zealand plumbing and/or gas fitting license.
  • NZ qualified plumber or actively working towards qualification with relevant certifications and licenses.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Commitment to high standards of workmanship and a genuine interest in the trade.
  • Valid full Class 1 driver’s license.
  • Excellent communication skills with a strong focus on customer service.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Relevant experience in a similar role is required.
  • A current working visa for New Zealand is essential.
