Te Kawa Mataaho Public Service Commission leads the public sector to make a positive difference for New Zealand and New Zealanders.

We are looking for a talented Principal Advisor able to provide timely, high-quality advice, and lead the delivery of projects across our diverse and ambitious work programme.
The Principal Advisor role is an opportunity to work alongside senior public service leaders to resolve emerging issues and to influence change at a system level. This will include an ability to contribute to strategic thinking on integrity matters and present complex issues to variety of different audiences at pace. You will have sophisticated inter-personal and relationship building skills and a track-record of working well and delivering as part of a team. You will also be a critical, deep thinker with excellent written and oral communication skills and who is confident communicating with a range of stakeholders.
A legal, public management or policy background would be an advantage.

The Principal Advisor position usually pays between $130,171 to $159,588 depending on skills and experience.
