Provide advice and guidance to support leaders to create strength and cohesion in our Organisational Strategy and Capability Development branch.
Mō tēnei tūranga - about the role
Provide strategic quality assurance and risk management support as well as intellectual leadership to our Organisational Strategy and Capability Development branch. You will develop strong relationships both internally within the organisation and externally. A key part of this position will be to provide thought leadership regarding our goals moving forward. You will provide excellent advice based on evidence and best practice.
This is a 2-year fixed term position based in our Wellington NHQ office.
Ko tāu nā i tēnei tūranga - What you'll bring to the role:
Bring your broad skillset to this position along with your comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Cabinet and Ministerial processes and procedures and Government planning and budget cycles. You will have demonstrated experience in developing and building consistent use of simple frameworks and processes, so they become part of working culture.
To be successful in this role, we'd expect you will have:
- Demonstrated senior level of experience within the government sector including briefing on policy, delivery, processes, and governance
- Excellent communication and writing ability to write board papers, and documentation
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Proven experience implementing systems thinking and strategic planning
- A relevant tertiary degree or equivalent experience
- Exceptional relationship management skills, along with the ability to mentor team members
The salary range for this role is $136,874 - $152,082, dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
