About this role |Mō tēnei tūranga
We have a fixed term or secondment opportunity for 12 months to cover a Private Secretary secondment. The position of Principal Advisor to the General Manager of Operational Design and Development is an opportunity to work in a highly collaborative team with a focus on meeting the needs of ākonga, whānau, educators and communities and guiding consistent, effective, equitable, and efficient operations.
The Operational Design and Development function (OD&D) works collaboratively across Te Tāhuhu and with stakeholders and partners to develop practical systems, processes, tools and resources.
The Principal Advisor works as a member of the leadership team, provides cross functional leadership and supports the General Manager to manage the performance of the function.
Salary range: $118,371 - $143,760 per annum + 3% KiwiSaver. The successful candidate will be appointed at a salary which reflects individual skills and experience.

To be successful in the role you will be an excellent collaborator who builds and maintains meaningful relationships. You will be experienced working with senior leaders and teams, to provide sound advice and lead the resolution of issues.
You will also offer:
- Experience in a complex organisation.
- Demonstrated knowledge of te ao Māori and a willingness to continue your development and understanding of tikanga and te reo Māori.
- A track record of bringing people together and leading, coaching and mentoring others to achieve outcomes.
- The ability and willingness to adhere to the Public Service Standards of Integrity and Conduct

Operational Design and Development in Te Pae Aronui OD&D leads operational policy, service design and business process design projects and initiatives to deliver solutions that achieve Government priorities and address identified operational challenges and opportunities.
