- Principal Analyst salary range $147,010 to $162,887, depending on experience
- Senior Advisor salary range $106,416 to $117,782, depending on experience
Mō te tūnga | About the role
Principal Analyst:
We're seeking a Principal Analyst to provide strategic advice and project leadership at Oranga Tamariki. In this role, you'll deliver timely reporting and insights to drive continuous improvement and enhance performance across the Ministry. You'll oversee enterprise performance frameworks, connecting operations with strategic outcomes, and support planning and prioritisation decisions.
Some key requirements of the role include:
- A tertiary degree in a relevant field, or equivalent knowledge, skills, and experience, is essential
- 5+ years in a performance measurement role or relevant experience in strategy, analytics, and/or planning
- An in-depth understanding of performance frameworks, monitoring and reporting within a complex organisation
- Proven project management skills, particularly in management of multi-faceted, complex and multi-stakeholder pieces of work
Senior Advisor:
In this role you'll help shape the strategic direction of the Ministry, lead key strategic initiatives, provide expert advice on critical organisational challenges, and support the development and delivery of the Ministry's strategy. You'll also play a key role in performance management, reporting, and accountability processes, directly advising Te Riu. This is a unique opportunity to build strong relationships across the Ministry and with external partners to drive impactful change and improve outcomes for tamariki and whānau across New Zealand.
Some key requirements of the role include:
- A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience
- A strong understanding of the processes that underpin the operations of the public sector environment, including policy development, Cabinet and parliamentary processes, accountability, and reporting
- An understanding of the function of the External Monitoring agencies with experience working with public sector review processes including information requests
- Undertakes regular environmental scanning to keep up to date with political and social imperatives relative to area of interest
