Focussed on maintaining and developing healthy ecosystems, resilient communities and thriving economies, they work on the most challenging and significant environmental projects on the market. Having recently secured projects working across flood protection, urban revitalisation and infrastructure improvement they are now seeking a Principal Civil and Environmental Engineer to take a leadership role within the practice. On offer for the successful applicant is a salary of $150K - $170K, client and project leadership along with stimulating career challenges.

The Opportunity:

As part of the Water Infrastructure team you will deliver Three Waters designs for local authorities and major infrastructure projects, both domestically and internationally. As a large multidisciplinary practice you will work with the major projects team on water led projects delivering innovative, sustainable solutions.

  • Work across the full water project life-cycle, leading, supporting and developing junior Engineers
  • Engineering investigation, scoping, planning and design of water infrastructure
  • Develop an exceptional portfolio of major, complex, water infrastructure projects
  • Lead the delivery of challenging projects on time, budget and to agreed client expectations
  • Provide technical and project management leadership across the 3 waters space
  • Enhance client relationships reinforcing long term partnerships

About you:

  • Tertiary qualified in Civil, Environmental or Natural Resources Engineering
  • 10 years + project leadership experience managing complex 3 waters design projects
  • Professional experience of local authority and water design guidelines
  • Developed knowledge of hydraulic design and modelling
  • CPEng with Engineering NZ
  • Strong technically, with proven skills in developing and maintaining client relationships
  • Passionate and motivated to deliver sustainable outcomes and make meaningful change
  • A full Driver’s License and existing work rights for NZ
