About the Role
This well-known engineering consultancy is seeking a Principal Civil Engineer to join their team in Auckland. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, constructing, and maintaining both built and natural environments. The civil team specializes in earthworks design, erosion and sediment control, water supply, stormwater and wastewater drainage, and road design.
You will have full autonomy over your projects while also contributing to the development of the civil team in Auckland.

- Oversee civil engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring efficiency, quality, and budget adherence.
- Assess and refine designs for land development
- Mentor and support junior engineers, providing technical guidance and career development opportunities.
- Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and contractors to meet project requirements and address challenges.
- Monitor project finances and timelines, providing updates to senior leadership.
- Hold NZ or equivalent tertiary qualifications in civil engineering.
- Have 7+ years of industry experience.
- Demonstrate a strong technical background
- Exhibit excellent communication skills.
