The office of Hon. Andrew Hoggard, Minister for Biosecurity and Food Safety, and Associate Minister of Agriculture and Environment is seeking an administrative extraordinaire to join their team. You will be a dedicated and committed team player, exceptionally well organised who can multitask and get things done. There will be opportunities to utilise your communications and research skills.
Providing a range of tasks that contribute to a well-run ministerial office, your day will include being the first point of contact for visitors and telephone enquiries to the office, which makes experience in a customer facing role highly desirable. You will be responsible for assisting with diary management, making travel arrangements, and processing invitation and meeting requests so a strong eye for detail is a necessity.
To be successful in this role you will have the demonstrated ability to work well as a team player and collaboratively across teams. You will thrive under pressure and can juggle competing priorities and responsibilities at short notice. A flexible approach to work is valued, along with excellent communication skills.
Understanding existing government, parliamentary and public service protocols and processes and have experience in dealing with and facilitating correspondence, Official Information Act requests and parliamentary questions is hugely beneficial, but not essential.
It is a necessary requirement of this role to hold a National Security Clearance. There are certain criteria that must be met in this regard.
