Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity
Working in our newly created Procurement Intelligence and Supplier Relationship Management team, your new role as our Procurement Analyst will be to support the development and implementation of best practice procurement, ensuring NZTA Waka Kotahi has a fit for purpose approach to procurement including spend and supply chain analysis, strategies, methodologies, systems, processes and tools to drive value for money outcomes.'Working in one of Aotearoa New Zealand's largest public sector procuring agencies offers an outstanding opportunity to build your career in procurement or commercial analytics.

Our ideal candidate will have some or all of the following (but don't worry if you don't tick every box).
- Demonstrated ability, and/or experience at applying analytical processes, numerical and quantitative data interpretation
- Ability to collate, calculate, analyse, compare, interpret and report on data findings
- Well-developed communication and relationship building skills
- Comparable and relevant experience with relevant training in analytical tools, processes is essential
- A tertiary qualification in a related discipline may be useful but not essential

Procurement is an essential part of how NZTA delivers our critical business functions to support Te Kāpehu, our strategic direction. Many functions of NZTA are performed, in full or part, using external suppliers and we are one of Aotearoa New Zealand's largest public sector procuring agencies. NZTA is not only responsible for its own procurement requirements, but it also leads procurement practice across much of the land transport sector.'
