Mō te tūranga mahi | About the role
We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Procurement Analyst to join our dynamic and collaborative Corporate & Finance group. Reporting into the Manager, Procurement Capability and Performance, this newly created role provides an exciting opportunity for someone looking to showcase their blend of technical skills, business experience and procurement knowledge.
The Procurement Analyst is a key role responsible for collecting, analysing, and delivering high-quality procurement data, reports and insights that support operational and strategic decision-making. This role will be the expert point of contact for data related inquiries for procurement, providing guidance and support on data interpretation and usage.
Ngā Haepapa Mahi | Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Enterprise Procurement team to improve data-driven decision-making and support initiatives aimed at optimising procurement delivery and outcomes.
- Proactively engage with the business to gather data, understand reporting needs, and understand alignment of information with ACC enterprise strategy.
- Development of dashboards and visualizations for clear insights and monitoring.
- Develop and maintain datasets; ensure accuracy of data collection to enable informed decision making, effective compliance, and identification of efficiency opportunities.
- Monitoring procurement metrics and trends to highlight opportunities and challenges.
- Completion of accurate, timely reporting to meet NZ Government & other audit/OIA requirements.
The base salary range for this role is $101,287 - $142,993 with appointment depending on skills and experience and internal relativities. ACC also offers 9% superannuation on top of base salary.

Mōu | About you
We are looking for someone experienced in data and information analysis. You'll be known as a statistical whizz, and willing to roll up your sleeves and get involved in ACC's procurement related data, wrangling quick-win insights using Power BI.
You'll ideally bring experience from within a procurement or finance setting, however more important is your curiosity and open mindedness to improve data practices and outputs with your expertise and enthusiasm.
We'll be looking for:
- A tertiary qualification in Business, Data Analytics, Finance, or related field.
- Excellent analytical ability, system investigation skills and proven experience working with stakeholders to get to the heart of the challenge and propose fit for purpose and pragmatic solutions.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience working with databases and business intelligence tools to extract, manipulate and analyse data.
- Advanced Power BI skills (data modelling, dashboard design, streamlining, publishing and distribution, connecting systems and automation)
- Experience in building and maintaining effective relationships, and the ability to gain credibility with senior people leaders.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, particularly the ability to communicate clearly, concisely and in plain language.
- Resilience, initiative, and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in an ever-changing and complex environment.
