This is a full-time position of 40 hours per week.

The remuneration range for this role is $83,096 to $117,312. Midpoint 100% mark is $97,760 (including KiwiSaver) depending on skills and experience.

The opportunity

You will have the responsibility to support the Senior Production Controller to mitigate operational risk for all Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants (WTP and WWTP) managed by the Treatment and Control Systems Group Inhouse Operations. You will be part of a well supported operational team.

It would be an advantage to have a National Certificate or Diploma in water and/or wastewater treatment or a Professional Engineer qualification.

You will get to:

  • Action the review and approval of shutdown plans
  • Support the coordination of operational activities
  • Monitor the treatment plant performance
  • Provide analysis of water supply and demand information
  • Contribute to the onsite operational activities.

About you

To be successful in this role you will bring the following:

  • A National Certificate in water and/or wastewater treatment, or willingness to complete these qualifications
  • Five years experience in treatment plant and network site operations is preferred
  • Thorough understanding of treatment processes and experience in the operation of treatment plants and associated infrastructure
  • Good analytical skills and sound understanding of using software analysis tools
  • Ability to work as part of a team and as an individual
  • Full class 1 driver's licence.
