Job Description
Our client is a leading manufacturer in the aluminium joinery industry, located in Hamilton. They are looking for an experienced Production Manager to join the team.
About the role:
The client is offering a full-time position from Monday to Friday, 7.30am - 5pm.
- Maintaining production levels.
- Reading and understanding production plans.
- Communicating regularly with customer about their jobs.
- Addressing production issues and making quick, effective decisions.
- Planning, scheduling, and organizing the workload, resources and staff to ensuring operations are running smoothly.
- Dealing with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of orders and materials.
- Making sure all production activities comply with health & safety regulations.
Skills & Experience:
- Must have significant experience in the aluminium joinery industry.
- Previous leadership or managerial experience, with a focus on supervising, encouraging and motivating staff.
- Strong understanding of V6 costing/production systems and other production management software is essential.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and aluminium product knowledge.
- Problem solving, decision making, and project management skills are essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive approach to improving production systems.
