This is an exceptional opportunity for a qualified pharmacist to join our team in a designated role within our production unit. Our team are passionate about the health and wellbeing of the Canterbury community.

The role is based in the production service working with the Production Supervisor and Senior Technician to provide a safe, effective and efficient production service. This role will allow you to grow your specialist knowledge whilst supporting others in their learning journey.

We are looking for an enthusiastic pharmacist with a good work ethic, enjoys working as part of a team, has excellent interpersonal skills and a strong desire to learn. Production experience is preferred but not mandatory.
Ko wai koe | About You
Key tasks include:
- Oversight of dispensing and preparation of cytotoxic and sterile products through the production unit
- Liaison with clinicians, patients and commercial providers to ensure an efficient, effective and safe service
- Ensuring production practices are in keeping with all applicable legislation including New Zealand Pharmacy Standards and GMP
- Supervision, training and support of technicians, interns and students
- Participation in the on-call service as required
- Involvement in interdisciplinary education
Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and Experience
- Qualified Pharmacist who is NZ registered or with the ability to obtain a New Zealand Annual Practicing Certificate
- Experience in a pharmacy production environment is preferred but not essential
- Good communication skills and ability build strong working relationships
- Adaptable to changing team environments
- Can demonstrate a positive learning mindset
