About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the change that will support and grow our primary care nursing workforce. The Programme Lead – Nursing, will lead the implementation of the nursing workforce initiatives within the Primary Care Tactical Action plan (PCTAP). The role is to establish the programme management and work with team to design commissioning processes, manage the implementation and provide support and guidance on delivery.
The Programme Lead - Nursing will ensure robust programme management systems and processes are in place to manage the large and at times competing priorities. This includes the reporting and financial oversight required by multiple internal and external stakeholders involved including the Ministry of Health and Treasury.
About you
You'll be responsible for the effective delivery of the programme and its initiatives, ensuring they align with the strategic priorities and deliver measurable results. This includes developing, implementing, and overseeing work plans that support organisational goals while remaining adaptable to evolving needs.
In this role, you'll work collaboratively with teams to identify opportunities for enhancement, streamline processes, and implement sustainable changes that improve outcomes for both staff and the communities we serve.
Strong understanding of nursing education pathways is essential, as you'll play a key role in supporting workforce development and training initiatives.
