About the Role
The primary purpose of the role is to lead the development and implementation of the Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) programme working in partnership with the National Lead IPC. The IPC Programme Manager will work toward fulfilling the requirements of the IPC programme and will also further define the programme and the personnel, digital, analytical, and surveillance resources required along with the National Lead IPC.
About the Team/Service/ Location
The Programme Manager will report directly to the National Quality and Patient Safety Manager within the Office Chief Clinical Officer (OCCO) to ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care to achieve Health New Zealand goals.

- A relevant graduate and post-graduate qualification.
- Proven programme management experience at a senior level including management of national programme / project teams in the health sector, preferably in IPC
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to foster good stakeholder relationships
- Proven HR and people management skills
- Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
- Experience in projects / initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Mātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.
