Job Description

Be responsible for ensuring seamless coordination and execution of civil construction activities between our project team, clients, councils, consultants and subcontractors !

- Salary band 70 - 80k per annum depending on experience.

- Work with key civil contractors in the area.

We are currently partnering with a tier-one civil contractor working in Gisborne. They are actively seeking a civil Project Coordinator to join their team for a year and contribute to the successful completion of this project. Our client works across the whole of NZ so there are opportunities to develop and/or relocate after the project is complete.

This project will be focused on the recovery and rebuild of the highway and rail networks in Gisborne and Te Matau. Experience working on similar projects would be an advantage. You will be working amongst a few of the biggest civil contracting clients in the region working on an important project.

In this fast-pace role, you will be a central hub and coordinator between our project team, clients, councils, consultants and subcontractors to help deliver project tendering and delivery. Your meticulous eye for detail will help the right information be in the right hands at the right time. You will enjoy making peoples day easier, catching problems before they happen and generally making everything work like a well-oiled machine

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely delivery.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth site operations.
  • Monitor compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and project specifications.
  • Track project progress, report on milestones, and identify potential risks.
  • Assist with procurement, material management, and logistics planning.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and liaise with stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Comprehensive administration experience.
  • Strong understanding of construction industries, health and safety, and project management principles.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must be able to commit to being on-site role for the duration of the contract project. Open to part timers or people with school pick up responsibilitys.
