Our client is a specialist Project Management consultancy with growing presence nationwide. They are dedicated to achieving high-quality results for their clients, fostering long-standing relationships. The firm offers comprehensive services across the full range of property, government and infrastructure projects, particularly working with key clients such as Aged-Care clients, Department of Corrections, MoE and universities, private developers and more.
The position:
Due to increased demand and strong office growth, our client seeks an exceptional Project Director to lead large flagship projects and expand their growing Auckland presence. With several major projects secured in Auckland, they are looking for an ambitious Project Director to manage these projects from inception to handover and to enhance the firm’s presence in Auckland. With strong national leadership in place, their role is seen as a key piece of their growing presence in Auckland, strengthening their presence and offering the right person a clearly defined pathway to Directorship
· Lead project teams to deliver outstanding results for clients
· Partner with clients, understand their needs and deliver solutions.
· Develop and maintain project plans, budgets, and timelines, ensuring alignment with client objectives.
· Understand project risks and overcome challenges to ensure project success.
· Mentor and coach team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
About you:
You will be an experienced Project Director now or a very experienced Senior Project Manager in construction consulting, ready to advance into a leadership role with a highly reputable company. Ideally you will also have following:
· Minimum 10 years’ experience in consulting and project delivery, particularly large-scale property projects across commercial, education, health, aged care or similar
· Track record of successful management of projects ($50M+)
· Extensive network and strong relationships within the Auckland construction and property market
· Excellent leadership and team management skills
· Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate project risks
· Strong financial acumen, experience in budgeting, forecasting and financial management
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels
