Job Description
Seeking a Project Engineer or Project Manager for civil/drainage/three water projects around the Bay of Plenty and Tauranga with an entrepreneurial main contractor.
Our client is looking for a recent graduate with 6-12 months experience on civil projects, either a Project Engineer or a Project Manager. This is a great opportunity to get stuck in, with a full-time permanent opportunity on offer. You'll be working on civil drainage and three water projects around Tauranga and the greater Bay of Plenty area.
About the role:
As the key Project Manager on most projects, your role will include scoping, coordinating, planning, and executing the delivery of a range of projects. You will be responsible for full cost management including budgeting, cost control and forecasting. You will be able to manage stakeholder relationships fluidly and with skill, juggling many things at once while retaining a cool, calm and collected demeanor.
If you're a Project Engineer, you will have an interest in taking over these responsibilities.
Your main responsibility will be delivering projects on time and on budget, so if you have demonstrated ability in executing projects ahead of schedule and within the budget, we'd love to hear from you.
About you:
- Bachelor Degree in Project/Construction Management OR Civil Engineering OR working up from the tools to a Project Manager role
- Open to candidates of all levels for a chat
- Demonstrated ability in the delivery of successful projects, on time and on budget
- Excellent presentation, encompassing oral and written ability
- Worked on New Zealand projects with a portfolio that reflects your skillset
- Natural leader with superb time management and organisational skills
- Understand the importance of OH&S and adhere to strict safety on site
- Able to communicate with key stakeholders and hold the attention of a room
