Job Description
We're seeking an experienced Project Engineer (or Site Engineer) with solid commercial/vertical building experience to join our client’s dynamic team in Auckland. This role offers a unique blend of challenge, growth, and impact on projects in the range of $5-30m.
Role Overview
As a Project Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of delivering cutting-edge projects across various projects. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring project success, focusing on safety, client satisfaction, quality, timeliness, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities
· Ensure successful project delivery by providing technical expertise in reading and translating designs, site surveys, and resolving on-site challenges.
· Implement quality control measures, conduct inspections, and address any defects promptly.
· Ensure compliance with safety regulations, assess risks, conduct safety audits, and promote a strong safety culture.
· Serve as the main contact for stakeholders, maintain effective communication, and ensure accurate project documentation and reporting
· Oversee project planning and execution, working with the Project Manager, Site Team and Quantity Surveyors.
· Manage client and stakeholder relationships
Ideal Candidate
· Tertiary qualifications in Building/Construction Management
· Minimum of 5 years experience in vertical commercial construction
· Proficiency in reading construction drawings and specifications
· Proficiency in project management software (eg Aconex, MS Project)
· Excellent organisational and time management skills
· The ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
· Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
· Proven experience delivering projects through the full lifecycle
