Your Role

This is a full-time, permanent position (1.0 FTE, 40 hours per week), working Monday to Friday. As a Chronic Pain Psychologist, you will:

  • Deliver psychological assessments and interventions tailored to support patients living with chronic pain.
  • Work alongside specialist pain physicians, physiotherapists, and nurses, contributing your expertise to a dynamic and collaborative environment.
  • Innovate and develop service models, ensuring our patients benefit from the latest evidence-based practices.
  • Support research and quality improvement initiatives that advance our understanding and treatment of chronic pain.
  • Provide consultation and training to staff, championing the role of psychology in pain management.

About You

We’re looking for a dedicated professional who:

  • Is a registered psychologist (or eligible for registration) with the New Zealand Psychologists Board.
  • Has expertise or a keen interest in chronic pain management and its psychological dimensions.
  • Thrives in a multidisciplinary setting, bringing strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • Is committed to patient-centred care and integrating evidence-based psychology into healthcare.
