My client is a leading tier 1 civil contractor and they are working as part of a major project alliance in Auckland. Focussing specifically on bridges and other civil structures they are looking for an experienced QA Engineer to join their team. Your primary responsibility will be to uphold the highest standards of quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle. You will work closely with a dynamic team of engineers, designers, and project managers to ensure that all aspects of construction meet regulatory requirements and exceed industry expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive quality assurance processes for bridge and civil structure construction.
  • Conduct thorough inspections and audits to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality concerns and implement corrective actions.
  • Utilize cutting-edge technology and software tools to streamline QA processes and enhance project efficiency.
  • Prepare detailed reports and documentation to track QA activities and communicate findings to stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or similar
  • A minimum of 4 years’ experience in quality assurance with a contractor, with specific focus on bridges and civil structures
  • A track record in promoting a quality culture of best practice as well as practical developed skills in auditing, inspection, testing, risk assessment, quality assurance.
  • Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
