We are seeking a Quality Lead to join us in our Technical Delivery and Quality department to contribute to our strategic direction.
Mō te tūranga mahi | About the role
The Quality Lead works at the ART/Programme level across all phases of delivery to ensure appropriate safeguards and quality practices are in place. As we continue with our DevOps journey and establish a Hybrid methodology alongside our existing SAFe framework, Quality Leads provide independent assurance for multiple teams.
Quality Leads will champion the move away from traditional verification mechanisms and replace them with automated, transparent and auditable delivery practices. The scope of the role covers the full product lifecycle, including requirement generation and refinement, development and unit test practices, traceability of tests to requirements and defects, automated test capability, maturity of CI/CD pipelines, performance and security testing, approval gates in the path to production, observability and quality metrics.
Quality Leads will help redefine quality standards and how we measure them at ACC. The ability to influence, collaborate and negotiate with multiple stakeholder groups is key.

Mōu | About you
We are looking for someone who can drive innovation, inspire others and bring people along on the journey as we shift from a traditional test practice to a more fit for purpose Quality Engineering practice. We want you to be able to collaborate with stakeholders and peers to enable a shift to faster delivery without compromising quality, all while maintaining momentum and accuracy on existing programmes of work.
You will have:
- Minimum 5 years test leadership experience in a large or complex IT environment
- Demonstrated, in-depth understanding of testing and quality practices
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to form trusted relationships and communicate to different stakeholder levels
- Relevant knowledge, skills and experience, and a commitment to ongoing professional development
- Working knowledge of architecture principles
- Experience with SaaS platforms and an understanding of evergreen delivery/operating models
- Experience working in an Agile environment
- Be delivery focused - you like to see things through
- An understanding of DevOps practices

Mō ACC | Working at ACC:
The base salary range for this role is $117,787 to $166,288 with a starting salary depending on skills and experience of the successful applicant. ACC also offers an additional 9% superannuation.
