Rake hand /Class 2 Asphalt Labourer

We are seeking a motivated and hardworking Rake Hand / Class 2 Asphalt Labourer to join our asphalt crew. This role is essential in supporting our paving operations by ensuring the smooth and even distribution of asphalt and operating Class 2 vehicles as needed. If you have experience in asphalt work and a Class 2 driver’s license, we want to hear from you!

About the role : 

• Raking & Asphalt Finishing: Assist in spreading and levelling asphalt using hand tools such as rakes and lutes.
• Surface Preparation: Prepare work sites by cleaning and marking areas for asphalt application.
• Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain small machinery, including plate compactors and other hand tools.
• Truck Driving (Class 2): Operate Class 2 trucks to transport asphalt and materials to and from job sites.
• Worksite Safety: Follow all health and safety procedures, including wearing PPE and adhering to traffic management protocols.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with the asphalt crew to ensure high-quality paving and smooth workflow.
• General Labouring: Perform other general labour duties such as shovelling, loading, and unloading materials as required.

About You :

• Class 2 Driver’s License (a must).
• Previous experience in asphalt paving or civil construction (preferred but not required).
• Strong physical fitness and ability to work long hours in various weather conditions.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• A strong commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship.
