Industrial Refrigeration Engineer – Ashburton

The Role
As the Industrial Refrigeration Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of refrigeration systems at this state-of-the-art plant. You’ll be the go-to expert on-site for all things refrigeration, working with ammonia and freon gas systems.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain cooling, HVAC, and refrigeration systems.
  • Replace worn or faulty components to keep systems operating optimally.
  • Contribute to exciting new projects, including the installation of a new ammonia plant.
  • Identify and fulfil equipment needs for the plant’s operations.
  • Share your experience, ideas, and innovative solutions to drive continuous improvement for the plant
What You’ll Need
  • An NZQA registered qualification as a refrigeration technician (essential).
  • 3–5 years of experience in industrial refrigeration, particularly with ammonia and/or freon gas. (essential)
  • A limited electrical license is a bonus—but if you don’t have one, we’ll support you in obtaining it!
